Omaha Zoo

I was looking for more pictures to blog, since I'm so behind, and came across this whole group of pictures that David and I have never seen. We have tons of pics from when we went to the Omaha Zoo and also the Walker family reunion.

The Omaha Zoo was probably the best zoo David and I have ever been to. Minus the humidity, they have an amazing selection of animals to look at. Plus, because it's so hot there mostly everything is inside. So the heat really wasn't a problem. They have a new exhibit that is supposed to be like the Amazon rain forest. It's huge with tons of waterfalls and you walk through and just see all the animals in their natural habitat. We bought Nathan a leash backpack cause we knew he would want to walk and he LOVED it! They also had a ton of gorillas and apes. One of the gorillas they have had there for over 27 yrs and it says on the window that he likes to run up and pretend to scare you to see if he can get a reaction out of you. A real prankster! He did it once while we were there. The employees say he is really sweet though. We also got to see a mom and baby gorilla and the baby was being fed by a bottle. A very great zoo and we had a blast taking Nathan there. When we are over in that area again in the future, maybe going to Nauvoo, we will definitely stop by there again!
