During February and March I put Nathan into a tumbling tots class. Since it was so cold and icky out, we couldn't go outside so I figured he needed to get rid of that energy somewhere! I wasn't quite sure how he would do since he was barely two. By the end of the class, in March, he finally would do the warm-up exercises but the teacher was great and didn't seem to mind. She knows it's hard for 2-3yr olds to sit still for very long!
Nathan absolutely loved the class. He always came home and showed the things he learned to David and was so excited to go twice a week. He constantly talked about the 5 other kids from his class and I was worried when the class ended he would be really upset. I felt bad when we just had to stop going cause it ended. He still talks about it and I'm thinking of doing it one more time before the baby comes to give him something to do while David is gone for the month.
He learned so many fun gymnastic moves and learned some good structure from the class. It taught him how to take turns and pay attention to the teacher. It was great! This has been the most fun thing I've done with him since he's been older. At the end of the class, he got a medallion and got to stand up and get his picture taken plus show everyone his favorite thing he learned to do while there. He chose to do the wall handstand. He thought that was the coolest thing when he learned it!:)
