Well last night was our first night home and what a learning experience. It wasn't a bad thing in the slightest but it was a very good learning experience. We got to bed around 10:00 and within just a few minutes he was up and crying so Sharie said she'd take the first shift and fed him and then about midnight we woke up to a loud burp sound and of course we rushed to his bassinet at the end of the bed and he had spit up a good amount. So we go and change him and he's crying, I'm afraid the people who's bedroom is below Nathan's were going to wake up, and we're trying to change his clothes and his diaper. Done! Then a few hours later I get jolted awake by a loud puke sound and go and see that there was some spitup to the right of his head and some had ran down behind his right ear. Lovely smell, too! Anyway with a few more feedings in the night (he likes to eat) he was sleeping again at 7:30 this morning and slept all the way through until 11:00. That felt so nice to sleep that long. It was a really good experience. I'm looking forward to knowing our son more.
