So obviously it's been a while.. OK over a year since our last blog post. We've been really lazy about that and we apologize. So a LOT has happened in the last year...

David has had a lot going on with him. David has 3 more semesters of school left and only has civil engineering classes to take from now on! Back during winter semester he applied for an internship job the Bureau of Reclamation put out. We waited and waited and found out that he got the job!!! We were so excited and were so grateful for this wonderful blessing. David was stationed in Grand Island, Nebraska for the summer. He finished up the semester and then we headed on up for a quick vacation to Tri-cities...(this is where he got the call that he got the job). We headed back for about 2 weeks to get everything situated and then David took off for Nebraska and I had decided to stay in WA w/Nathan at my in-laws.

It was a rough first month w/o David but with a lot of help from my in-laws I was able to pull it off. We decided to take a trip to Nebraska to see David and visit for a week. At the time he was staying with the Bishop at his home out in the country but then recently moved into a home with a guy that worked with him and his wife. The couple was out of town the week we were there so we got to save a lot of money not having to get a hotel! It is absolutely beautiful here! Nice and green and the people are so friendly! Well we liked it so much that a day before we were supposed to head back on the plane we decided to stay! We hit it off so well with the couple and they were so sweet and offered for us to stay!

So here we are! We are loving being together and Nathan has been doing so much better being around his daddy. He is enjoying the many parks they have here and he is really into going down slides! They have an awesome water park here that only cost $1 on Monday nights! It's such a steal!

It's way bigger than any water park I've ever been to besides Seven Peaks. They have a great kid area and Nathan just has a blast. He is really wanting to swim in the water more than just stand up in it so it's fun! Nathan is also really into reading books! He loves them and will ask you to read the same one over and over. He is getting so smart and has a vocab of about 50 words or more.(Not just understanding..he can actually SAY 50 words clearly and he also signs quite a bit). He is quite the jabberbox and we are loving it!

Nate's new water toy. He really did fall into the water like that.

For the time being, this is where we will be. It's hard for us to remember our Utah home cause we feel like we have been away from it for so long. We're afraid we won't be too happy going back to such a small place after living in 2 big houses this summer, but oh well! We promise to continue updating our blog at least once a week. We are trying to do fun stuff so we can post it and share it!
