Wow

Well sorry it's been a while since we've updated our blog. Once I got out of school we flew up to Washington to visit Sharie's and my parents. We spent the first half of our vacation in Vancouver with Sharie's side of the family. Whilst we were thither we got a family picture with Nathan then 5 months old. It was the first time that Josh, Sharie's dad, had seen Nathan and he really enjoyed the time that we were there. He was holding him so much. It was fun. Shortly after we had settled in our first day there Josh said "We need to get a picture of Nathan on the 4-wheeler" and within a few minutes it was out and ready to go. So we did that. Then we spent the next couple days going to the park, and to different places in Vancouver but mainly just spending time at the house and with each other. Sharie and I, however, took advantage of the free babysitting service and went to a movie one morning and it was nice to get some alone time outside the house. The kids were loving Nathan and he was the center of attention and he loved it and we loved it because they wore him out at night so he slept so well. After we'd been in Vancouver for a few days we went and spent time with my parents in Kennewick. Corbin thought Nathan was so cute and "wittle". He was a big help to us most of the time. While in Kennewick I got to spend time with my mistress, my car, and we also just enoyed spending time with my parents and grandparents there. We went back to Vancouver on Thursday April 30th and flew home the next day.

I started work on Monday May 4th and just a little bit after I'd returned to work, my boss, Brad, talked to me and told me that they were going to send me to Moab for 4-6 weeks to help one of our engineers down there. So Tuesday I went down and spent the week down there. I was pretty much just taking notes on the progress of the holes being dug for the bridge that is being put in over the Colorado River. Just as I was getting used to being down there and away from Sharie and Nathan, I found out that I would be coming back to Provo until further notice because there was some miscommunication from the UDOT and they had more guys available and with it being their project, they overrule who we have down there - that's how I understand it. So I came back home for a week and just worked in the lab for the week. Then on Sunday the 17th my other boss, Jacob, called while I was out home teaching and so he talked to Sharie. He told her that they would need me in St. George for the week to help with the drill rig. So after I talked to him I got my stuff ready and Monday morning I went down to St. George. It was hard being away again since I was expecting to be back in Provo for a while. I felt bad for Sharie because Nathan was having a rough week sleeping because now that he rolls a lot he will roll himself awake at night. But she is such a trooper and a wonderful mother and wife and handled the week without too much trouble. It was a physically hard week for me, too, because I was outside from 7:30 a.m. to around 7:00 p.m. every day moving big drill rods and working around a hot rig. So yeah. It was a tough week for both of us. Then Friday rolled around and Sharie and Nathan came down and we spent the night in St. George. Then on Saturday we went to Las Vegas because I'd never been there and Sharie liked it the times she'd gone. We only spent a few hours there because we were both tired and hot and Nathan was, too. However, I did get to go on the rollercoaster "New York, New York" which was fun because I haven't been on one in so long. Then we went back to San Jorge and walked around the temple, got some pics, went back to the hotel and just relaxed the rest of the night. Sunday morning we drove back home and got home in time for me to teach my lesson in Elders' quorum.
So that is pretty much what's happened in the last month and a half. If I forgot anything I'll let Sharie update it since I took the time to do this long one.
